The only way to correct the square icon is to replace the icon and link the font-awesome. You could try removing line 1349 and 1350.

The problem is with the non-existence CSS styling. I have download the whole font awesome folder and put it in the project folder.

This issue usually happens if you've added the icon markup manually. As of Font Awesome version 5 they split icons into multiple fonts.
